ABOUT US

Crafted Care. Thoughtful Goods. Rooted in Repair.

Clintonville Cobblery was founded by Mike (they/them), a trained cobbler with years of hands-on experience and a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship. They're journey began in 2018, apprenticing in a Columbus repair shop, followed by advanced training with master bootmakers at Vogel in New York City. Every stitch and sole reflects that time at the bench.

This space was built to serve as both a working shop and a place of connection—a spot where the tools are visible, the work is personal, and the goods on the shelves support a life built on care and durability.

Alongside full-service leather and shoe repair, the shop offers a growing selection of well-made, everyday items—leather care essentials, insoles, wool socks, handmade goods, and tools that encourage mindful maintenance over mindless replacement. It's a place for people who want to take care of what they have, or learn how.

The goal is simple: offer honest service, quality products, and a space that feels useful, approachable, and rooted in the neighborhood. Whether someone stops in for a boot resole, a bar of saddle soap, or a conversation about keeping good things going, they’ll be met with skill, intention, and a little bit of old-world know-how.
